I am trying to finish this project and I cannot find the way forward. Somehow the 10% of work that I have left to do has canceled out the 90% I have already completed. How does that happen? When I sit down to work, it is as if the thousands of words already researched, written, and edited (multiple times) do not exist. Anything important or original that I have already accomplished with this scholarship is forgotten. Instead I see an endless list of problems I just don't know how to solve.
The consequence here is that I can't objectively assess the significance of these problems. If all I can see are the manuscript's weaknesses, each one appears to be fatal.
